NavyGilt is a personal website run by Ka0n. This page explains how contact information and information needed to protect the site are handled.

Information you provide

The contact form collects your name or handle, email address, subject, category, message, and whether you would like a reply. These are used to handle your inquiry and reply when needed. An email address is optional unless you request a reply.

Notification and storage

Cloudflare Pages Functions checks submissions and applies abuse protection, then sends a notification through the Gmail API to the operator’s fixed, private Gmail address. If you provide an email address, it is also set as the notification’s Reply-To address.

NavyGilt does not store your message in its own application database. Notifications do remain in Gmail as received and sent mail. Their retention and deletion follow the operator’s management of the Google account.

Abuse protection

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help block bots and spam. Technical information needed for these checks, such as your IP address and browser information, is sent to Cloudflare. NavyGilt does not save these signals as part of your inquiry. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy notice for details.

To limit submissions, the site briefly retains an identifier derived from your IP address and submission timestamps. The Durable Object used for this limit does not store your original IP address, name, email address, subject, or message.

Rejected checks, rate limits, invalid input, and sending failures are counted by day. These counts do not include personal information from inquiries. The implementation removes older counts; this does not guarantee the retention periods of external services’ logs or backups.

External services and cookies

Cloudflare provides site delivery, submission processing, and abuse protection. Google handles email notification and storage. Necessary information is therefore processed through these services. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy for their practices. Inquiry information is not sold to advertisers or other companies.

NavyGilt itself does not use its own cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. External services may still use cookies for technical purposes.
